WHO are we and WHY do we CARE?
First of all who are we?
We are a support group based out of Bashaw Alberta, Canada.
Some of us are parents, teachers, small business owners, victims of bullying and some were even bullies themselves.
We are not therapists but we are people who care! Our role is to make the journey easier by finding resources and provide workshops to help educate parents, communities and children about bullying.
~ We can help light your path but you have to take the journey ~
Why do we care?
We come from various walks of life and want to help educate parents, children and teens about bullying. Make people aware and empower them. Whether you or someone you know is a victim of bullying OR you or someone you know is a bully we are here to help. It does not matter where you live or how old you are, we've all experienced or witnessed some form of bullying in our lifetime and its time we reach out and help STOP this cycle.
Our Hope?
To provide resources and workshops for parents, educators, children, teens and communities.
~ If we can help one person by giving them the tools they need to regain hope and end this cycle then our goal has been successful ~
PLEASE check our CommunityEvents Page as we frequently update this page with events and guest speakers coming to the area.

Why we started be B.R.A.V.E against bullying: A Parent's Voice
"I am going out of my comfort zone here, but my son wants his story told. I will not tell it all on my terms, but on his. His story is why I chose to start be B.R.A.V.E. Against Bullying.
My son suffers from severe anxiety and depression along with multiple mental illnesses due to brain damage caused at birth, and an illness as an infant. His first few years of school were good in respect to friendships, etc. Grade 4 was Hell for him. I will not go into great detail on exactly what he went through, as per his request, but I will say thank God for his good friends, the severity of this bullying was finally brought to our attention.
We fought the battles, we climbed the ladders, we did all we could, but our 10 year old was done! He was ready for it to end. He ended up spending 3 weeks in the hospital, coming out with another diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ~ the voices in his head kept repeating what he had be told for so long, flash backs and many fears! We were told we were lucky he wasn't successful in what he wanted; that he wasn't a statistic. We were so close to loosing him!
I asked my son for one thing he would say to a victim he said ~ "be Brave" and so our name was born B.R.A.V.E. standing for Bullying Resources and Victim Education. He is still healing daily and will for many years, but my hope is his story won't be in vain, and something positive can come from his experience.
My story is a bit different. I WAS the bully! I was brutal, cruel and mean. I have since apologized to each and every victim I caused pain. Watching my son go through this pain made my heart ache that I made someone else's child feel that way. I am here to tell you it's not worth it! One day you will be a parent and if you were like me you will regret your treatment of others more than anything in your life."
It is time to be B.R.A.V.E Against Bullying!"
